5 unique work from home jobs

Hey y’all, I told you I would be back.  Happy Thursday night! 😉 I found some cool, unique work from home job opportunities that I’m excited to share with you.  For this post I have 5 I want to tell you about.  I hope you enjoy.

1. Blue Mountain Arts www.sps.com

Greeting Card Writings

Blue Mountain Arts is interested in reviewing writings that would be appropriate for publication on greeting cards. They are looking for highly original and creative submissions on love, friendship, family, philosophies, and any other topic that one person might want to share with another. Please note that they do not accept rhyming poetry.

To request a copy of writer’s guidelines, please send a blank email to writings@sps.com with “Send Me Guidelines” in the subject line.

To submit your work, send to editorial@sps.com (no attachments, please) or write to:
Blue Mountain Arts, Inc.
Editorial Department
Post Office Box 1007
Boulder, CO 80306

2. Avanti Press www.avantipress.com

(that’s the copy inside a card)
They send you images, and you send back a handful of smart, witty, sometimes sweet,
fresh, whimsical, “Yeah, I could send that card” verse ideas.
Avanti Press writers excel at creating funny stories out of images, and interpreting the universal emotions and quirky desires of card characters (often animals posing as humans).
Writers are in tune with social media trends and have a superb command of the English language, both formal and colloquial.
(They also have some time flexibility and a reasonable respect for deadlines.)

3. Vitac www.vitac.com

Position:  Realtime Captioner

VITAC remote captioner employees are provided with all of their equipment, hardware, software, technical support, phone line installation, and direct billing of phone line charges. Employees provide their own steno machine, television, headsets, and pay for their own high-speed internet service.

All employees travel to VITAC’s headquarters for one week of paid technical instruction at the beginning of a salaried training period. Upon completion, the captioner is paid a competitive hourly on-air rate.

VITAC captioner employees are paid bi-monthly via direct deposit and are also offered a benefit package that includes health insurance with shared employer/employee premiums, company-paid short- and long-term disability, and a 401(k) plan with a percentage of match on the employee’s investment.

If you’re interested, please e-mail your resume to Mark Panichella, Director of Human Resources at Mark.Panichella@vitac.com. Any questions you may have and inquiries about our skill evaluation process should be directed to rcinfo@vitac.com.

4. Obeo obeo.com

Obeo is always looking for professional, self-motivated people to join our team. If you are interested in becoming a local Obeo photographer or an Obeo sales rep in your area, learn more below.

Freelance photographers are at the core of the Obeo business. Obeo is looking for people with a photography background (amateur or professional) or for those who wish to be in the photography industry and have their own equipment. At Obeo they require external flash photography on all of our homes, so you need a little more than just a digital camera.

Photography orders are forwarded to you via e-mail and it will be your responsibility to:

Set appointments
Photograph the home
Process and upload photos to our website
It normally takes less than 30 min to photograph a home and less than 20 min to process the photos for each home. Payment is on a “per house” basis for each property that you photograph as a sub-contractor. Payment amounts depend on what type of photography is requested and the general market conditions in which you live.

I’ve got one more for tonight and I thought it was just so different and unique that I had to share.

5. PickyDomains https://www.pickydomains.com

Make money with PickyDomains
If you have a knack for coming up with cool, unusual and memorable names, domains or slogans – here is a chance to turn your talents into cash.

It’s simple – register as a contributor (free), select orders you want to work on and submit suggestions. If your name, domain or slogan is picked, you’ll get 40-60% of the order value (averages around 25-75 dollars depending on your rank and order type). And if none of your suggestions are picked, you’ll still get paid (up to 25 cents) for each suggestion that was liked by a client, even if it was not chosen. The money will be sent to your PayPal account, so it’s important that you have one or can get one easily. IMPORTANT – if you live in a country where you can’t receive PayPal payments, we won’t be able to send you your commission!

Basically, that’s it. The registration is instant and free, we always have a few dozen orders to work on and our ranking system is designed to encourage talented contributors – the more successful suggestions you make, the higher your commission. What are you waiting for – give it a try!

That’s all from Remote Work Cafe tonight.  Good night and sweet dreams! xoxo Erica
